So, if anyone other than my mom and dad ever read this, heed my warning: when they say 'don't drive in Itay' they mean it! We spent hours trying to get through the traffic in Milan and had no hope of getting to our campsite in Switzerland.
As a result we ended up in a hotel way out of our price range for this trip, at a highly reduced rate, compliments of Laterooms.com!
Instead of camping in Switzerland, we're in a four star hotel in Lecco with a balcony and a view of Lake Como. A king sized bed, a bath/shower, aircon and buffet breakfast.
I know. Them's the knocks. But don't worry about us - we'll get over it ;0)
